Around 2006 Denver was going through a revitalization of a large number of neighborhoods to when more people wanted to move to Colorado.
This project was designed in a zone that allows for Duplex zoning and a lot of older, mostly ran down homes were rebuild as such. We tried to give this duplex a less “massive” feel by offsetting the two volumes while still keep the project economical enough to build. This also created a better defined delineation between the rear of the properties adding some more privacy to the back yards.
